Wesley House

The United Methodist Women continually support the Wesley House. “The Wesley House Community Center offers an after school program for children in grades 1-5, summer programs, Pace program (Performing arts), and senior care for the community's elderly. We offer several additional programs to service the community and believe that with the expansions and improvements that are being made, we will be able to affect the community for the better.” Visit their website for more information.

InterFaith Health Clinic

Working people without medical insurance can find affordable medical care, dental care, mental health counseling and prescription medications at the Interfaith Health Clinic. The Clinic began in 1991 serving those who earn too much to qualify for government subsidized insurance and too little to afford private insurance, charging on a sliding scale. A network of medical specialists and local hospitals work closely with the clinic, accepting patients for treatment, hospitalization, and diagnostic tests using the same sliding fee scale. Some groups at Central make regular donations to support the clinic, while others have volunteered services. Visit their website for more information.

Volunteer Ministries Center

The Volunteer Ministries Center was established by KICCUP in 1987 to meet a need not addressed by traditional missions. The center offers daytime services and counseling to the homeless and assistance to those trying to become self-sufficient. Once a month, Central United Methodist prepares and serves a hot meal for clients in the dining area of the Day Room once a month. Some members also volunteer with the center's four programs: Day Room, the Refuge, Jackson Apartments, and The People's Clinic. For more information see the Volunteer Ministries Center website.
