The Central Church archives are supervised by the church's Records and History Committee. The current archives effort began about 1993, organized by some members of a Disciple Bible Study class. While working in the church, they found a collection of documents and pictures relating to the church history. These volunteers decided to try to organize the materials.

The first Archives Room was dedicated in April 1994. The Archives are located in two separate rooms: a display room and a workroom for meeting and storing materials. The committee meets weekly to inventory, sort, and organize materials. The Records and History Committee was instrumental in preparing the application for listing the church on the National Register of Historic Places and prepares and maintains historical displays throughout the church.

The Archives contain many old records, documents, and photos, including the hand-written agreement to merge the Broad Street and Centenary churches. The original architectural drawings have been preserved. Collected materials include albums of weddings at the church and donated items.

The Archives are currently open during Sunday School and worship on Sunday. Access may be obtained at other times by contacting a member of the History and Archives committee or by making arrangements through the church office.
