Office Manager Pat Keyes is an indispensable member of the Central staff. A former teacher with
a master's degree in special education from Northern Illinois University, Pat worked for churches
and church organizations in the Episcopal and Lutheran denominations before coming to Central
in 1995. Pat handles all kinds of administrative tasks, publishes the weekly newsletter, and
occasionally teaches classes. Pat has two children and enjoys reading and needlework. She and
husband Peter met and married at Central and now attend Fountain City United Methodist.
Frank Sheadrick joined the Central UMC staff as custodian in December 2009.
Frank graduated from Austin-East High School and worked for the Knox County Schools for over 27
years before retiring. He has been married to Renetta for over 29 years,
and they have two grown children and four grandchildren.
Frank is a member of Antioch Fire Baptised Holiness Church,
where he is chairman of the trustee department, a deacon in training,
and plays lead guitar for the church. He has been a member of the
Twilight Gospel Singers for about 30 years.

Bill Hutton, a member of Central UMC since 1992, is responsible for security but prefers
the title of "Minister of Grounds and Facilities." Bill coordinates with groups using the building,
ensuring their safety and good stewardship of our facility. After almost 40 years in technical and
field service work, Bill has traveled to 49 states, 25 countries, and 3 continents, adding England, Scotland and Wales
recently while vacationing with his new bride Susan. Bill has 2 grown children, and 5
grandchildren. A recent graduate of Pellissippi State in Web Site Development, he also works on
the website team.

Perry Starkey became the food services manager in March 2009. He plans menus, purchases food,
and prepares and serves some of the church meals. Perry graduated from the University of
Tennessee with a BA in social studies. From 1987-1999, he owned and operated
"Perry's on the Square" on Market Square in downtown Knoxville.
He is also the food services manager at the Florence Crittenton Agency.
Perry and his wife (and sometimes kitchen assistant) Susan have one daughter,
who is in nursing school. When he is not working, Perry enjoys growing both flowers
and vegetables. The Starkeys attend Fairview United Methodist Church.
